It’s not often a crowdsourcing opportunity finds a perfect symmetry of vision and execution. This is what happened with the Powder7 logo design and Broz.
When Powder7 put out a call to redesign their logo in August 2018, Broz jumped at the chance to help. Broz founder Matt Brozovich is an avid lifelong skier who has spent (and still spends) countless days on the slopes. Broz’s favorite haunts include Mary Jane and Arapahoe Basin. The obvious enjoyment of a Colorado bluebird day aside, critically analyzing ski logos on a chairlift is also one of Broz’s favorite pastimes. A more ideal situation Broz or Powder7 couldn’t have asked for: a lifelong skier who happens to be a designer to partner with a locally-owned ski shop.
Broz entered two logos for the contest; here and here. In November 2018, Broz was honored when Powder7 chose its logo from a long list of submissions.
Powder7 is rolling out their new logo in 2019. Be sure to look for it on their website, Facebook and Instagram pages, and, most importantly, on ski gear. Broz is happy to be a Powder7 brand ambassador and even happier with seven years of new skis!
