Designing for Dignity: Official Launch of a Meaningful Collaboration

Today marks an incredible milestone — the official launch of the book, Designing for Dignity. This project has many months in the making, and seeing it come to life is both humbling and exhilarating. Every page of this book is a testament to a powerful, collaborative effort between Shopworks Architecture, Broz, Matt Staver Photography (and beyond) — thoughtfully crafted, beautifully written, and designed to inspire.

What makes this book so special is the team behind it. Designing for Dignity would not exist without the passionate group of writers, editors, photographers, researchers, and advocates who poured their talent, creativity, and heart into it. Working alongside such visionary collaborators has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.

Each person brought something unique to the table — from rigorous research to compassionate storytelling and beautiful photography. This spirit of shared purpose shines through on every page.

As the book designer, Broz’s goal was to create a visual language that amplified the book’s message. The layout, typography, and overall structure were carefully considered to create an experience that feels open, human, and respectful.

Design is never just decoration — it’s storytelling. With Designing for Dignity, the design choices aim to reflect the values of dignity, inclusion, and clarity that underpin the entire project and are the basis for Shopworks Architecture’s philosophy. It’s the wrapping that made the content beautiful, deeply accessible, and impactful.
